It is with our deepest sorrow to inform every one of the passing of Petra de Jimenez Contreras, beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She passed on Saturday November 23rd joining her father Reveriano Contreras and two brothers Jose & Thomas Contreras in Heaven. Petra was born on November 27th 1954 in Guanajuato, Mexico. She married the love of her life, Manuel Jimenez in July of 1972. They have four children (and spouses) Barbara (Alejandro), Juan Manuel, Patricia (Sergio) & Petra (Carlos) Jimenez, along with 10 grandchildren. We all love her dearly, passionately and whole heartedly. Petra was always known for going above and beyond for her family and others. She was the most selfless person, always making helping those in need and making sure everyone was taken care of. Petra left her mark with everyone she encountered throughout her life even in her last moments touching the hospital nurses' hearts. Please join us for her wake on Friday November 29th from 4 p.m. to 8p.m. at Dunn Family Funeral Home with Crematory 1801 South Douglas Road, Oswego IL 60543. We will hold a mass in her honor on Saturday November 30th at 10a.m. at St. Nicholas Church 308 High St, Aurora IL 60605. Following her mass, her burial will be at River Hills Memorial Park 1650 South River St, Batavia IL 60510. Todos conocian a Petra por ayudar a todos y siempre buscar soluciones a todos los problemas. Dejo muchas historias y un hueco muy difícil de llenar. Lucho ante todas las adversidades hasta el ultimo momento. El velorio se llevara acabo el Viernes 29 de Noviembre del 2019 de cuatro a ocho de la noche en Dunn Family Funeral Home 1801 South Douglas Rd, Oswego IL 60543. Posteriormente el Sábado 30 se hara una misa de cuerpo presente en la iglesia de St. Nicholas 308 High St, Aurora IL 60605 a las diez de la mañana. Sigido de la misa será el sepelio en el cemeterio River Hills Memorial Park 1650 South River St, Batavia IL 60510.
