Pete Childers passed away peacefully at the age of 86 on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at his home in Oswego, IL surrounded by his loving family. Born on June 26, 1932 in Lockport, IL, he was the son of Threll and Helen (nee Stegall) Childers. Pete was the co-owner (with partner and friend, Dean Johnson) of Imperial Electronics for 45 years. Pete was a loving husband, father, father-in-law, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and a wonderful friend to many. His warm heart touched everyone. Pete will be missed immensely by all. Survived by his devoted son, Ronald (Lisa) and his grandsons Miles and Luke Childers of Oswego, IL; his sister, Marilyn (Roy) Hernandez of Crest Hill, IL; his son-in-law, David (Karen) Mackley of Joliet, IL; and his grandchildren, Kristen (Brett) Fahnstroms, Andrea (Sergio) and his great grand-daughters Alaina and Lucy Hernandez; Emily (Travis) Sunderland and David Mackley; his brother-in-law, Doug (Sharon) Boyd; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded by his loving wife Karen Childers and his daughter Elaine Mackley, his parents Threll and Helen Childers , and his sister Saralea Chaloka. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anne's Parish, 551 Boulder Hill Pass, Oswego, IL.
