Peggy Ann Quirin, 78, of Sandwich, IL died peacefully at home Sunday, August 5, 2018. She was born August 26, 1939 in Aurora, IL the daughter of the late Quinlen "Whitey" and Beatrice nee Friebele Meetz.
She was a member of the Oswego Presbyterian Church in Oswego, IL. She graduated from Oswego Community High School Class of 1957, then went on to Copley Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Aurora, IL graduating in the Class of 1960. She was employed at Copley Memorial Hospital for many years prior to her retirement. She loved caring for her son at home, her extensive salt and pepper shaker collection, needlepointing and word search puzzles.
She is survived by two daughters Kari (Ray) Lach of Oswego, IL, Lori Hiemenz of Sandwich, IL, two sons Thomas (Misty) Quirin and Bradley Quirin both of Sandwich, IL, nine grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, nine great-granchildren and a brother Dr Gerald (Jane) Meetz of DesMoines IA, two nieces and two nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert D Quirin, infant twins Tammi and Terri Quirin, in-laws Alfred and Phyllis Quirin.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, August 9, 2018, from 1:15 PM until the Funeral Service at 2:15 PM at the DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY 1801 Douglas Road Oswego, IL. Interment will take place at Spring Lake Cemetery in Aurora, IL.
Memorials may be directed to the Kendall County Animal Shelter, 802 John St, Yorkville, IL 60560 and Rover Rescue, P.O. Box 4074, Aurora, IL 60507.
Pallbearers will be Robert Hook, Cory Moyer, Lloyd Kauffman, David Henderson, Mike Herring and Fred Kreinbrink.
