Peggy Sue Figgins

The spiritual world has gained a beautiful soul.

Peggy Sue Figgins, 66, of Newark, IL, formally of Sheridan, IL passed away on October 10, 2024 at Edward Hospital in Naperville surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great grandson.

Peggy was born in Sandwich, IL on June 14, 1958 to Melvin Williams and Evalyn (Davis) Williams. She graduated from Serena High School in 1976. Peggy was a lifelong member of the Sandwich Moose, served as an EMT on the Sheridan Fire Department for over 20 years and worked as a dispatcher for 15 years at the Sandwich Police Department. She managed the Subway at the Sheridan BP for many years. For a few years she also assisted with the Home Health Services Department at the Fox Valley Community Center.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her children, Robyn Butler of Newark and Adam Figgins of Sandwich. Four grandchildren, Joshua Steven Scull, Kala Lee Figgins, Levi Scott Butler and Lane Michael Butler, one great grandson, Liam Lane Scull. Also surviving are her sister Melva (Vern) Sebby of Sandwich and brother Karl Williams of Baraboo, WI as well as two nieces, two nephews and three great-nephews. Peggy is also survived by many family and friends who thought so dearly of her.

Peggy was truly a unique, lively and loving person. She enjoyed making people smile with her "fun loving" attitude and quirky sayings. She loved being with her family, cooking up their favorite foods. She loved being with her friends. Let no one forget her love for them.

A celebration of life will be held on November 2, 2024 from noon until 5:00 pm at the Plano Legion, Leon Burson Post 395, 510 E. Dearborn St., Plano, IL 60545

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to her family.
