Paula Jean
Tauer
March 7, 1952 – June 9, 2026
Paula Jean (Wagner) Tauer
Paula Jean (Wagner) Tauer, 74, of Aurora, Illinois, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2026.
Born in Chicago, Illinois, on March 7, 1952, Paula lived a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion to her family. A proud homemaker, she created a warm and welcoming home where family and friends gathered, shared meals, and made memories that will last a lifetime.
On September 23, 1972, Paula married the love of her life, Michael Tauer. Together they shared a devoted marriage and built a loving family. Michael preceded her in death, but their legacy lives on through their children and grandchildren.
Paula is survived by her daughter, Brandi (Tauer) Williams and her husband, Bill, and her son, Chris Tauer and his wife, Leanne. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Morgan, Andrew, and Jack, who brought immeasurable joy to her life and whom she cherished beyond measure.
She is also survived by her sisters, Cheryl, Judy, and Joanne, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
Anyone who knew Paula knew she was a spitfire. You always knew when she was in the room. She had a vibrant personality, a quick wit, and a presence that could light up a gathering. She spoke her mind, loved fiercely, and brought energy and laughter wherever she went.
Paula enjoyed cooking for family and friends, traveling, and, most of all, spending time with her children and grandchildren. Whether preparing a favorite meal, sharing stories around the table, or making memories on family trips, she found her greatest happiness in the people she loved.
Paula's legacy is one of strength, love, laughter, and unwavering dedication to her family. Though her absence leaves an immeasurable void, the memories she created and the love she shared will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
The family is grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support during this difficult time.
Though she may be gone, her voice, laughter, and spirit will never be forgotten.
