Paula R. Holdiman, 97, of Plainfield, IL, passed away Saturday, August 14, 2021 at American House Cedarlake Senior Living. She was born November 22, 1923 in Sugar Grove, IL, the daughter of Herbert and Pauline (Ruoff) Dhuse. Paula had a love of the outdoors, cross-stitch, reading, and most of all family. She was a lifelong member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Paula is survived by her daughter, Barbara Holdiman of New Lenox, IL; her son, Russell (Becky) Holdiman of Abrams, WI; her sister-in-law, Beth Dhuse; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61+ years, Albert; her parents; three sisters, Ruth Grosshans, Margaret Schelling and Harriet Battenschlag; a brother, Ruoff Dhuse; and a sister, Bette, in infancy. The family wishes to extend special thanks to all of Paula's caregivers for their love and support. Visitation will be held Friday, August 20, 2021 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Dunn Family Funeral Home with Crematory, 1801 S. Douglas Rd., Oswego, IL. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 PM with Pastor Jacob Stoltzman officiating. Interment will follow in Lincoln Memorial Park.
