It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Paul Donald Anger, who left this world on March 20, 2025, in Naperville, Illinois. He was born on February 8, 1938, in Worcester, Massachusetts, and lived a life brimming with love, dedication, and a passion for learning.

Paul was a devoted husband to his wife, Judith "Judy," with whom he shared 57 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a beautiful family, raising two loving children, Michelle (James) Potter and Gregory (Rebecca) Anger, both of whom carry forward his legacy of kindness and commitment. Paul was a cherished grandfather to six grandchildren: James, Owen, Nathan, Isaac, Rachel, and Leah, with whom he shared countless joyful moments and educational projects. He was also a beloved uncle to several nieces and nephews who held him dear to their hearts.

A proud veteran, Paul served in the United States Navy from 1957 to 1959, stationed aboard the U.S.S. Ranger. His experiences during this time shaped much of his character and instilled in him a sense of discipline and service that he carried throughout his life. He later pursued a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and enjoyed a fulfilling career as an electrical engineer at Lucent Technologies, where he was respected for both his expertise and his unwavering work ethic.

Paul was a man of many interests and talents. He was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, where he found community and fellowship. His love for music from the 60s and 70s was a defining aspect of his personality, and he often could be found humming a tune or sharing stories about his favorite artists. An adept handyman, Paul took pride in maintaining his home and working on his own vehicles, exhibiting a diligence and attention to detail that extended to all areas of his life. He enjoyed long walks, particularly by the ocean, embracing the serenity and beauty of nature.

In addition to his hobbies, Paul had a special knack for engaging with his grandchildren through educational projects that inspired curiosity and creativity. He loved to play on the computer, exploring new technologies and sharing his discoveries with his family. These moments created lasting memories that his loved ones will carry with them forever.

Paul's warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit touched everyone who had the privilege to know him. He is preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Mary Anger, and his sister, Theresa Alarie. His absence will be deeply felt by all who loved him.
