Patricia "Pat" A Batastini, 77 years of Wheaton, IL died Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at DuPage Care Center in Wheaton, IL. She was born August 2, 1941 in Chicago, IL the daughter of the late Bruno and Lydia nee Busch Kragulski. Pat was a loving mother to three daughters Sheri (Rick) Batastini of Lombard, IL, Lori (Tim) Dorn of Aurora, IL, Lisa (Bob) Delaney of Castle Rock, CO; a son David (Kathleen) Batastini of McKinney, TX; She adored her eight grandchildren Alison, Brian, Isabella, Trevor, Cameron, Marley, Ryan and Shea who will miss her dearly. A sister Shirley Hycner; two brothers Ron Kragulski and Bruno (Rita) Kragulski; brother-in-law Tom Joyce; also fifteen nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Rita Joyce. As a homemaker in Palos Hills, IL Pat was active in her children's lives and was seen as a "second mom" to many of their friends. Pat loved to spoil her grandchildren. She would never miss a chance to babysit, arriving with homemade cookies baked with love. Pat hosted the best holiday parties where there was never any shortage of food or desserts. Christmas was her favorite. The past few years Pat lived at Belmont Village Assisted Living, Carol Stream, IL and DuPage Care Center, Wheaton, IL where she made many friends, especially with her caretakers. She loved sharing family photos and bragging about her grandchildren. She enjoyed watching TV and became quite the Cubs fan, never missing a game. Her favorite activity was attending live music events. Wine & cheese at Belmont and singer Matt at DCC. She had a great sense of humor and loved to tease. Caretakers and residents knew Pat most for her signature greeting…blowing a kiss. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 from 3:00 PM until a memorial service at 7:00 PM at the DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY 1801 Douglas Road Oswego, IL.
