Pat O'Toole, age 88, of Montgomery, IL, passed away with his family by his side on Monday, December 12, 2016 at his residence. He was born October 18, 1928 in Aurora, IL, the son of John and Hazel O'Toole. After his graduation from Morton High School, Pat proudly served his country during World War II in the US Navy aboard the USS Pine Island –AV12. Pat was employed at Electro-Motive and retired from Caterpillar Tractor after 24 ½ years. Pat was active in Scouting, Ham Radio Operator (WB9HUM) and woodworking. He was a member of the American Legion and Pine Island Association. Pat is survived by his loving wife Blanche (whom he married on December 29, 1951 in Berwyn, IL), daughter Cathy (Bob) Spencer, son Tim (Lynn) O'Toole, daughter Sue (Dan) Carlson, daughter Maggie (Steve) Booth, 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 S. Douglas Road, Oswego, IL 60543. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 15, 2016, 10:00 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, 551 Boulder Hill Pass, Oswego, IL 60543. Burial will follow at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery, Aurora, IL. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Anne Catholic Church or the charity of your choice.
