Pamela Cryder (née Fuller), age 82, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2026, in rural Minooka, Illinois. Born on March 22, 1943, in Canton, Illinois, to Harry and Jane (Hartson) Fuller. She lived a life marked by devotion to her family, her faith, and her community.

Pamela graduated from Oswego High School in 1961 and later attended Aurora University. Her professional journey was as diverse as it was dedicated. She worked for D&H Ag, All-Redi Printing, Anderson Farm Service, Ty-Walk, and Elburn Co-op. Her commitment to public service was exemplified through her 16 years as a Multi-Township Tax Assessor in Kendall County-a role she fulfilled with diligence and integrity.

Pamela married Henry Cryder on September 12th, 1964, with whom she shared a long and loving partnership for 61 years. Together they had three sons: Scott (married to Tina Braund), Brent (deceased in 1974 age 5), and Ryan (married to Crystal Kreftmeyer). Pamela's legacy continues through her grandchildren-Kailynn (married to Ryan Orlando), Kyler (married to Dana Lundberg), Kynsey (married to Jared Mathre), Keaton Cryder, Tessa Cryder-and great-grandchildren Nora, Jett, Scotty, Georgia Cryder, Goldie and Walker Orlando, with more blessings on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Jane Fuller; In-laws Francis and Maureen Cryder and her beloved son Brent.

Pam's heart belonged wholly to her family-her favorite pastime was simply being with them. She had an extraordinary ability to care for others before herself. Known for her quick wit and infectious laughter, she brought joy into every room she entered. If you asked for her opinion, you'd get it-honest and unfiltered-but always rooted in love.

A master of the kitchen even under pressure, Pam could conjure up gourmet meals seemingly out of thin air. She made sure the men working long hours in the fields never went without a hearty dinner delivered to them. Her culinary talents were matched only by her intellectual curiosity; she was a speed reader who could devour an entire book in a single day. Pam had an encyclopedic knowledge of World War II history and the "Greatest Generation". Many believed she missed her true calling as a Jeopardy! champion.

Her faith was central to her life. A devoted member of Helmar Lutheran Church for decades, Pam played hand bells there for over 20 years and served as a shining example of steadfast belief to all who knew her. Her presence within the church community was deeply felt and will be sorely missed.

Pam also gave generously of her time beyond church walls. A VFW Auxiliary member since 1983. She served on numerous committees and organizations throughout the years-always ready to lend a hand where needed.

Pam Cryder leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, service, and strength. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew and cherished her.
