Pamela Jean (Davidson) Cook was born on May 10, 1944 in Ottawa, Illinois, and was the daughter of the late Jessie and Lloyd Davidson. Pam died suddenly on Sunday, August 23, 2015 at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. The first fifteen years of Pam's life involved many moves with her family, ranging from Illinois to Georgia, New Jersey, and Ohio. Her family finally settled in Oswego, Illinois in 1959, and she resided there ever after. Pam married the love of her life, Lacy H. Cook, in 1965. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on February 20th of this year, and were known to all as the couple whose honeymoon never ended. Pam was the proud mother of Douglas Cook (husband of Lisa Bowers Cook) and the late Bradley Cook (husband of Jamie Fitzpatrick Cook), and grandma to JD, Matthew, Megan, and Dylon. She was the dear sister of Judy (David) Hergisheimer, Meridy (Bruce) Shoger, and Debora (Ken Bolyard) Davidson. Pam was fun-loving, energetic, and hardworking , and she loved to travel the world. She served countless fabulous meals to friends and family, and decorated her home with flair. She was owner of The Village Traveler travel agency, but always had time to make sure that Lacy's chiropractic practice was running smoothly. She was instrumental in helping her son Douglas to start raising and showing cattle in 4-H, which led to his career as a rancher. She was likewise actively supportive of her son Bradley's interests in all things mechanical, which led to his career as a high performance aircraft mechanic. Pam was a caring daughter, friend and sister, and she went out of her way to help anyone who was in need. She will be greatly missed, and remembered with love. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 from 3:00 until a memorial service celebrating Pam's life at 7:00 PM at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY 1801 Douglas Road Oswego, IL. Cremation took place followed by inurnment at Lincoln Memorial Park in Aurora, IL. Memorials in Pam's memory may be directed to Alzheimer's Association 225 N.
