Thelma (Teddy) Lea Jordan Pachnik, (age 90), passed away on January 15, 2014. Born August 12, 1923 in Glen Ellyn, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Mona (Bridgewater) Jordan; two brothers, Robert G. Jordan and Donald E. Jordan, both of Chicago; and also her husband, Joseph H. Pachnik. She is survived by her daughter Lynn A. (Tim) Biernat of Sheridan, Illinois; step-daughter Elaine and step-son Gregory; grandchildren Carl (Cathy) Davis, Janel Davis, Terry (Melissa) Biernat, and Robin (Robert) Morales, all from Illinois; great-grandchildren Hannah and Shawn Davis; Markayla Christensen, Ayden Biernat, Joshua and Jacob Morales; and many nieces and nephews. She was raised in Chicago, IL, graduated from Hirsch High School and retired from U. S. Steel. She became a member of an international organization, 'The Questers' in 1980, and went on to become the president of the organization. She continued her interest when she moved to Hot Springs Village, AR, in 1991, and became a Charter member of the Ouachita Villagers Questers. She was very active in her church, Christ of the Hill United Methodist Church; a volunteer teacher with the St. Joseph Senior Net; taught computer graphics at the McAuley Senior Center; and volunteered at the Jessieville Ranger Station, all in Arkansas. She returned to Illinois in 2012 to be close to family. Per Teddy's request, there will be no visitation or funeral Service. Cremation was accorded her wishes. Arrangements were entrusted to DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY 1801 Douglas Rd in Oswego, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Teddy Pachnik may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital PO Box 1000, Dept 142 Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
