Oscar L. Dube, Sr. age 91 at rest October 10, 2023, at Accent Care Hospice Center, Naperville.

He was born in Fall River, Ma on June 1, 1932, the son of the late Oscar and Edna nee Champagne Dube.

Oscar proudly served his country in the United States Army. He graduated from Clark University Worcester, Ma and received his MBA from the University of Chicago. His first job was at Jackson Lab, and he retired from the United States Government Department of Commerce 1998.From 1979 -1983 he was a diplomat attaché with the state department at the American Embassy in Paris.

Oscar enjoyed traveling around the world and from 2004 to 2022 he and Kathleen enjoyed spending the winter in Fort Myers Beach, FL.

Oscar is survived by his loving wife of 24 years Kathleen M. nee Ohmacht. Proud father of Cindy (Tom) McGuckin, Roy (Mary) Dube, Michelle (Ron) Robinson and Nanette (Steve) Andersson, Devoted grandfather of seven, Brian (Kelly Dakarian) McGuckin and Colleen (Greg West) McGuckin, Christian Dube, Ron (Mandy) Robinson, Danielle (Joe) Best, Matthew (Liz Cornell) Andersson and Sarah Andersson, great grandfather of Mason and Emma June Robinson and Ragnar Andersson. Dear brother of Dorothy Anne Dube. Stepchildren, Kenneth (Terri) and Christopher (Trica) Goodman. Grandfather of three, Thomas, Tessa and Alise Goodman.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Alice Dube (1994).

Visitation for Oscar will be held on Sunday, October 15, 2023, from 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY 1801 S. Douglas Road Oswego, IL 60543. Chapel prayers will be held on Monday, October 16, 2023, at 9:30 A.M. and then in procession to St. Anne Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 A.M.

Family and Friends are asked to meet directly at Queen of Heaven Cemetery 1400 S. Wolf Road Hillside, IL 60162 for a gravesite committal service at 12:30 P.M. (we will meet at the main gate).

In lieu of flowers memorials in his name can be made to Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital 225 E. Chicago Ave Chicago, IL 60611 or Wounded Warrior Project at woundedwarriorproject.org .
