Robert D. Olson 79, of Oswego, IL died Friday, April 18, 2014 at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. He was born May 24, 1934 in Danville, IL the son of the late Elmer and Frances nee Wells Olson. Robert served his country honorably with the U.S. Army. He was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Oswego and the 3rd Ward Club in Aurora. Robert enjoyed golf, fishing and bowling, especially his 300 game. Prior to his retirement he was employed in management with Caterpillar. Robert is survived by his wife, Marcia nee Moran, whom he married in 1959; his children, Jonathan Olson, Julie Rachlin, Jill Olson and Jennifer Wander: 4 grandchildren, Jacob Siebert, Kyle Olson, Kari Kostolansky, Ziggy Rachlin and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Barb Perry (Freeport. Visitation will take place on Monday, April 21, 2014 from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 S. Douglas Rd., Oswego, IL. Funeral will be Tuesday, April 22, 2014 from the funeral home at 9:30 A.M. to St. Anne Catholic Church, 551 Boulder Hill Pass, Oswego, IL for a 10:00 A.M.
