Norma Jean Carragher, age 88, of Naperville, IL, peacefully passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at The Pearl of Naperville.
She was born January 19, 1934 in Springfield, OH, the daughter of Everett Francis and Mildred Ruth nee Bennett Castle.
Norma graduated from Xenia High School and finished nursing training at Christ College of Nursing.
Prior to her retirement, Norma worked as a registered nurse in the geriatric psych ward of Chippenham Hospital in Chesterfield, VA. She was an avid reader and loved to sing and she was very active at her church Grace Pointe Plainfield. She was a member of the TOPS (Taking Pounds of Sensibly) group in Naperville IL.
She is survived by her children Rita (John) Ragland, Roxanne Colburn, Randall N. Rowe, Rebecca (Daniel) Moon, grandchildren Taylor (Matthew) Arnold-Gay, Nathan Moon and Lauren Moon, sisters Mary Lou Ebel and Ruth Ann (Edward) Glover.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Ronald Castle, three children Robert, Richard and Raymond Rowe, and a granddaughter Christina Moon.
Services will be held at Grace Pointe Church, on Saturday, February 26th at 2pm, (14210 US 30, Plainfield, IL 60544).
