Douglas Francis Noble, 89 years, of Aurora, IL died peacefully at his home. He was born January 9, 1924 in McHenry, IL the son of the late George and Allie nee Turner Noble. He served his country honorably with the US Army/Air Force during World War II. He was a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local #501 prior to his retirement. He had worked for Swanson Plumbing for 19 years and then owned/operator of Doug Noble Plumbing and Heating both in Aurora, IL. He is survived by two daughters Jill (Micky) Reese of Shelbyville, TN, Beaty (Rick) Zwart of Oswego, IL, two sons Douglas (Mary) Noble, Jr. of FL, Michael Noble of Aurora, IL; eleven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; two sisters Beatrice (Dick) Moss of Aurora, IL, Jeanine Roscoe. He was preceded in death by his wife Greta nee Bennett Noble; sister Marjorie Stanger and brothers Herald, Kenneth, John, Keith, Reuben and Bruce Noble. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, August 2, 2013 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM, with military honors being performed at 8:00 PM, at the DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY 1801 Douglas Road Oswego, IL. Cremation took place and to be followed by interment in River Hills Memorial Park in Batavia, IL.
