Neil Alan Trinko, 82, of Oswego, IL, went to eternal peace on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at Cedarhurst Assisted Living in Yorkville, IL.

He was born May 11, 1940, in Aurora, IL, the son of the late Alfred and Ora nee Zaricor Trinko.

He was a member of the Wheatland Salem Church in Naperville, IL. Prior to his retirement he was a teacher for 30 years at Naperville Central High School. After teaching he became a massage therapist, which he loved, and proudly volunteered as a community service officer for the Oswego Police Department. He enjoyed serving as a "pastor's husband" while his wife Donna pastored various United Methodist churches. He was also involved in Stephen Ministries, allowing him to assist his fellow man.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years Donna J. nee Bennett Trinko, daughter Kimberly A. (Ken) McGraw of Oswego, IL, son Robert A. (Laurie) Trinko of Naperville, IL, three stepchildren Julie (Steve) Larkowski of St. Charles, IL, Laura (Tim) Carnes of Baton Rouge, LA, Stephen Carnes of Downers Grove, IL, seven grandchildren, Beckett McGraw, Brianna Trinko, Garrett Trinko, Caden Carnes, Will Larkowski, Ethan Daigle, Hayes Daigle and brother Paul (Colleen) Trinko of Glen Ellyn, IL.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 28, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 S. Douglas Road, Oswego, IL 60543.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Wheatland Salem Church, 1852 95th Street, Naperville, IL 60564.

Burial will follow at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery in Aurora, IL. Memorials may be directed to Wheatland Salem Church or Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Avenue, Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601 (alz.org)
