Ned Robert Calcaterra, of Aurora, age 93 at rest on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 21, 1930, in Joliet, IL the son of the late Anthony and Louise nee Cataneo Calcaterra. Ned proudly served his county in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a Member of Holy Angels Catholic Church, Aurora, IL.

He is survived by; two nephews, Robert Holmes, Charles Calcaterra, and niece Kathleen Calcaterra. A great nephew John Emerson, and two very special great nieces, Lisa Ishmael and Michelle Ishmael. Great Great niece, Nina Campos. Great Great Nephews, Michael and Nicolas Friel and Austin and Aaron Emerson.

Preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Rose Marie Holmes, Charles Calcaterrra.

He enjoyed crosswood puzzles, hidden pictures, stock car racing and bicycle riding and Donald Duck. But his favorite thing was spending time with his family.

Memorial in his name can be made to the Montgomery Memorial Post 7452 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars 121 N. River Street Montgomery, IL 60538 would be appreciated.

All services were held privately. Arrangements were entrusted to the Dunn Family Funeral Home with Crematory.
