Monico Flores, age 70 of Aurora, IL passed away on Friday morning at Mercy Medical Center, Aurora IL. Monico was born a son to the late Antonio and Maria (Vargas) Flores on May 20, 1949 in Santa Maria Del Oro, Durango, MX. Monico was a hard working family man. He spent 44 years as a loyal employee to Lyon Metal Products before his retirement in 2011. He was joined in holy matrimony with the love of his life Guadalupe Partida on May 13, 1970 at St Peters Catholic Church in Aurora, IL where they are still members. Monico enjoyed traveling, dancing, the casino, and was known to be an excellent cook. Most of all Monico loved his family. Monico is survived by his loving wife, Guadalupe Flores; his daughter, Lupital (Raudel) Gomez, Monico; son, Monico (Debbie) Flores Jr; five grandchildren, Marcos, Adam, and Christopher Gomez, Scott Carpenter, Alexis Flores; two great grandchildren, Zane and Kaiden Carpenter; two sisters, Maximina (Jose Carillo) Flores, and Ernestina (Jacobo) Leyva. He was preceeded in death by his parents, two brothers, Ines Flores and Juan Flores; sister, Alfreda Flores, and brother in law Alejandro Flores. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at St Peters Catholic Church located at 925 Sard Ave Aurora, IL 60506 at 11:00 AM.
