Miles John Small, age 20, of Aurora, IL, passed away with his family by his side on Monday, October 30, 2017 at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. He was born September 15, 1997 in Naperville, IL the son of Ronald Lyle and Karen A. nee Crotty Small. Miles was a 2016 graduate of Oswego East High School. For the past 2 years Miles was an assistant coach for OEHS sophomore football team. He enjoyed coaching football and looked forward to continuing his education toward a History major to teach at the high school level and coach football. Miles will be remembered for his generous heart and friendships and his love of college football and the Chicago Cubs. He is survived by his parents Ronald and Karen Small of Aurora, IL, his brothers Sean and Kyle Small both of Aurora, IL, uncles Steve Small of Wayne, IL, Alan (Bob Bender) Small of Ontario, Canada, aunts Donna (Ray) Schulz of Jeffersonville, IN, Anita Mansell of Birmingham, AL, step-grandmother Lucille Crotty of Indian Head Park, IL, numerous cousins, friends and his beloved dog Duke. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Milan & Margaret Small and his maternal grandparents John & Dorothy Crotty. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, November 3, 2017 from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 S. Douglas Road, Oswego, IL, 60543.
