Michelangelo Catanese, age 92, peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 in Yorkville, IL. He was born July 13, 1928 in Sicily, the son of Giuseppe and Maria Cascio Catanese. In 1968, Michelangelo migrated with his family to Chicago. He worked at Inland Container for 28 years. In his free time he loved working in his garden. He is survived by his wife of 61 years Gandolfa (Rettaravella) Catanese, daughter Mary Catanese of Plano, IL, sons Joseph (Kathleen) Catanese of Carol Stream, IL, Andrea Catanese of New Port Richey, FL, Daniel (Lora) Catanese of Yorkville, IL, seven grandchildren and one great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Maria, and three brothers Frank, Sam and Toto Catanese. All services will be private at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 S.
