Michael Edward Piatek, 21, of Aurora, passed away suddenly at his home on December 27, 2021.
Born in Arlington Heights, IL, to Larry and Kristl (nee Kalina) Piatek, he graduated with honors from Oswego East High School before going on to University of Arizona before transferring to Waubonsee Community College.
Michael loved sports, and enjoyed playing basketball, football, and baseball with his friends. He also enjoyed watching Colts, Ohio State, Bulls, and White Sox games. When not watching games, Michael enjoyed playing games on his Playstation with his friends. He also enjoyed traveling, having visited many states in the country.
He is survived by his loving parents, Larry and Kristl Piatek, and his brother Jackson Piatek. Also surviving is his paternal grandma, Elsie Piatek, and his maternal grandparents, Ron and Jan Kalina; Uncle Tim Piatek and Aunt Spring, Uncle Jeff Kalina, Aunt Marisol Kalina, and his cousins Rebecca Tidaback, Miles Kalina, Lily Piatek, Teddy Piatek, and close family friend Andrea De Guzman.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Larry Piatek Sr.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, January 3, 2021 at Dunn Family Funeral Home with Crematory, 1801 South Douglas Rd., Oswego, IL 60543, from 3:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. with a time of sharing starting at 7:15 P.M.
