Michael D. Gossett, age 74, of Montgomery, IL, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, June 21, 2022, He was born December 15, 1947, in Champaign, IL, the son of Jay Bakes and Patricia Joanne nee Simpson Gossett. He was a retired teacher/coach who loved spending time with his family and fishing. He is survived his children Heather Klespitz of Naperville, IL, Jennifer (Chris) Bartos of Aurora, IL, Michael (Kelly) Gossett of Montgomery, IL; grandchildren, Jordan and Hannah Klespitz both of Naperville, IL, Anabelle and Mikayla Bartos both of Aurora, IL; Michael Gossett Jr. of Montgomery; a Brother Mark (Rose) Gossett of Oswego, IL; a Sister Jayne Gossett-Null of Lapeer, Michigan; and many nieces and nephews. His "grandpets" can not be forgotten - Bella, Batman, Harley, Hermy, Lady, Lila Jane, Otis "Bosco", and Tuna. He is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia L. Gossett, his parents, brother Mitch Gossett, and his niece Erica Shields. Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 S. Douglas Road, Oswego, IL. 60543. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery in Aurora, IL.
