Michael Ray Cope, age 39, of Oswego, IL passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. He was born March 13, 1982 in Aurora, IL, the son of Steven Ray and Deborah Jean (Pahlman) Cope. Michael is survived by his parents, his brother Matthew Lee Cope, son Gavin William Ray Cope. He is also survived by his grandmother Mary Cope, two uncles Terry Duane Cope and Michael (Lisa) John Cope, along with several cousins, nephews and nieces. Michael is preceded in death by his grandfather and grandmother, Lester Lee Pahlman and Lois Jean Pahlman (Faul) and an uncle Gary Wayne Cope. Michael loved his son and his entire family very much. They gave him the greatest joy in life. He also adored his two doggies and pet bird. We all love Michael so much and will miss him dearly. The family would like to thank Michael's caregivers at Rush-Copley Medical Center for their unwavering support and sincere, professional care. Cremation took place in accordance with Michael's wishes. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, June 7, 2021, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 S. Douglas Road, Oswego, IL 60543.
