Melisa Ann Tomanek, 35, of Oswego, IL died Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Northwest Community Hospital after a courageous battle. She was born July 21, 1983 in Southfield, MI. Melisa was employed as the Director of Events at Heritage Prairie Farm in Elburn, IL. Melisa is survived by her husband Steven E Tomanek, her feline companions Chewy and Drogo, her parents Jim and Pat Darga of Milford, MI, sister Elizabeth Darga of Milford, MI, two brothers Nick and Ben Darga of Milford, MI, mother-in-law Linda Eichhorst of DeKalb, IL and sister-in-law Kristen Tomanek of DeKalb, IL. She was preceded in death by her father-in-law Edward Tomanek. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, August 26, 2018, from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. at Heritage Prairie Farm, 2N308 Brundige Rd, Elburn, IL 60119. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2018, from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. at Baker's of Milford, 2025 S Milford Rd, Milford, MI 48381.
