Meghan Marie Nau, 41 years of Rantoul, IL passed suddenly after a battle with cancer on Sunday, December 26, 2021, at her sister's home in Yorkville, IL. She was born January 27, 1980, in Evergreen Park, IL the daughter of the late Robert Charles and Kathleen nee Reinke Nau. Meghan was a member of the Class of 1998 of Lincoln-Way High School in New Lenox, IL and continued her education at Illinois State University where she received a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. She went on to work as an officer in the Juvenile Detention Center and most recently was a Probation Officer in Champaign County, IL. Meghan is survived by three sisters Michele Mattix, Kimm Morson, Jessica Nau, brother Phillip (Karen) Nau, paternal step-grandmother Jeanie Pecor, three nieces Ashley (Dave) Allen, Allison Mattix, Carly Nau, four nephews Matthew Mattix, Corwin Nau, Cameron Nau, Alex Morson, two great nieces Jamie Gonzalez, Juliana González, two great nephews Vincent Allen, Luca Allen, and her best friend Rebecca Kreger. Gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2021, from 10:00 AM until a memorial service at 11:00 AM at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 Douglas Road, Oswego, IL.
