Meghan Ann Bowers, age 36, of Montgomery, IL, peacefully passed away on Monday, March 5, 2018 at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. She was born April 22, 1981, in Chicago, IL, the cherished daughter of Michael Lee and Maureen A. nee Sweeney Bowers. Meghan graduated from Illinois State University with a degree in elementary education and she worked as a substitute teacher for many years. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Oswego, IL. In her spare time, she enjoyed making jewelry for family and friends, basketball, White Sox baseball and softball. She is survived by her parents Michael and Maureen Bowers of Montgomery, IL, brother Michael Thomas Bowers of North Aurora, IL, Maternal grandmother Margaret Sweeney of Aurora, IL, aunt Arlene (Stephen) Sweeney-Schmidt of Batavia, IL, uncles Romi (Elza) Nangia of Nevada, Marty (Gail) Finlayson of Sugar Grove, IL, Charles Bowers of IN, numerous cousins and a significant other Chris Haley of DeKalb, IL. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents William & Lillian Bowers, maternal grandfather Thomas R. Sweeney and an aunt Margaret M. Nangia. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 S. Douglas Road, Oswego, IL 60543. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 9, 2018 at St. Anne Catholic Church, 551 Boulder Hill Pass, Oswego, IL 60543.
