Mathew T Franzen, 66, of Sheridan formerly of Oswego, IL died on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at Northwestern Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, IL. He was born on September 28, 1957, in Aurora, IL.

Mathew was a member of Jerusalem Temple Masonic Lodge #90 of Aurora, IL, St Anne Catholic Church in Oswego, IL, and the Class of 1976 of Oswego High School.

Mathew is survived by his mother Gertrude "Marge" nee Johnson Franzen, sister Marianne (William) Bell, two brothers Mark Franzen, Daniel (Nancy Young) Franzen, Sister in law Debbie Springborn, three nieces and two nephews. Special friend Sherri Gonzales. He was preceded in death by his wife Christine Franzen, Father Gerald J Franzen, sister Cheryl Franzen and brother Jeffrey Franzen.

A private graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Pearce Cemetery Oswego, IL. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, August 11, 2024, from 1:00 to 4:00 P.M. at Oswego American Legion 19 W. Washington Street Oswego, IL 60543
