In loving memory of Mary Ellen Wylie, who peacefully departed this world on June 7, 2026, at the age of 73. Born on December 22, 1952, in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, Mary Ellen was a beloved daughter to the late Walter and Volley nee Olafsan Wylie.

Mary Ellen brought her love of music to Evansville, Indiana where she was a Professor of Music Therapy at the University of Evansville. Her career was not just a profession but a calling as she cherished the moments with her students and was greatly proud of those she taught who graduated.

Outside of her professional life, Mary Ellen found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was an avid golfer and passionate angler. She also delighted in playing card with her family and friends.

Mary Ellen was a devoted sister to her surviving brother, Don (Dee) Wylie, and a treasured aunt to her nieces and nephews, Sheri (Jerry) Buergel, Eric (Pam) Wylie, Korey (Olivia) Wylie, Kyle (Yanzhu) Wylie, and Jason Massa. She cherished her close friendships with Loraine Morris and Mary Hellen Ekstam. She was proceeded in death by her dear siblings Eric (Karen) Wylie and Sallie Wylie.
