Mary Trikolas, age 83, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at her home with her family.

She was born on November 26, 1938 in Asea, Greece to the late Peter and Pamela (Georgalas) Lambropoulos.

She was a fearless immigrant who came to America to create a better life for her family and married her high school sweetheart George Trikolas on November 6, 1960, who preceded her in death in 2021. Mary, with husband George, was a serial entrepreneur who owned many businesses over the years to support her growing family, retiring only after all four of her children had completed their education and were established in their careers. Mary was a legendary cook who loved to host friends and family during the holidays. She was pure of heart and always spoke the unapologetic truth to anyone who would listen. Mary was a prolific reader, played golf with her husband, loved to talk about history and was an avid Chicago sports fan. Early in life, Mary was also a beloved teacher who cared deeply for her students, but most importantly, she was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved to support and be surrounded by her fifteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Mary is survived by her son Dr. Tom (wife Pam) Trikolas, and their children: Maria, George (wife Katrina), Odysseas (wife Karlie), Sarah and Tommy; daughter Katherine (husband Ruedi) Temperli and Katherine's children: Demetri, George and Angelique; son Nick Trikolas, and his children: Isabella and Romeo; daughter Pamela (husband Gus) Schuberth, and their children: Elizabeth (husband John David) Moore, Mary (husband Dylan) Robb and great-grandchildren Violet, Levi and Luke), Rebecca, Zoe and Nina.

Private family visitation has been held. She will be laid to rest at the Lincoln Memorial Park, located at 675 US-30, Oswego, IL 60543.
