Mary Ann Novick, age 92, of Oswego, IL formerly of Tinley Park and Plainfield, IL died Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at The Bickford of Oswego, IL. She was born August 20, 1922 in Spillville, IA the daughter of the late James R and Anna H nee Jarosh Kovarik. Mary Ann taught at Brainerd High School in Brainerd, MN before marrying George and starting her family. She was a resident of Tinley Park for 48 years where she was active in the parish of St George Catholic Church. Mary Ann is survived by two daughters Nancy M (Paul) Amberg of Elm Grove, WI, Helen B (Eugene) Lamb of Yorkville, IL, three sons Philip G (Diana) Novick of Sparks, NV, James R Novick of Brainerd, MN, Joseph P (Donelle) Novick of Burnsville, MN; four grandchildren Rebecca (Matthew) Fedewa, Benjamin Lamb, Nicholas and Jonathan Novick. She was preceded in death by her husband F George Novick. Visitation will take place on March 21, 2015 from 10:00 AM until the Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM at St Patrick Catholic Church, 406 Walnut St Yorkville, IL celebrated by Fr. Matthew Lamoureux. Cremation will take place followed by private burial in MN. Memorials may be directed to a charity of the donor's choice in Mary Ann's name.
