Mary Lou Hiemenz, age 85, of Oswego, IL died peacefully on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at her residence. She was born December 13, 1929 in Aurora, IL, the daughter of the late Fred and Catherine nee Weber Hames. Mary was a 1948 graduate of Madonna High School in Aurora, IL. She was an active member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Oswego, IL where she participated in the Blue Army Rosary Group. She enjoyed baking pies, cooking and doting over her grandchildren. Mary is survived by her husband of 60 years Donald Hiemenz of Oswego, IL, Children Cyndi (Steve) Breitzka of Baldwin, MD, Steve (Michelle) Hiemenz of Naperville, IL, grandchildren Erin Breitzka of Washington, DC, Ryan Breitzka of Baldwin, MD, Ashley and Jacob Hiemenz of Naperville, IL, sister-in-law Joan Hames of Aurora, IL, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Donald F. Hiemenz, Jr., brothers Matt (Marge) Hames, Hank (Pearl) Hames, Al (Rita) Hames, John Hames, Frankie Hames, sisters Betty (Bill) Schindel, Josephine (Bob) Friedrich, Marge (John) Philipchuck, and Ceil (John) Freke. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at 10:00 AM at St. Anne Catholic Church, 551 Boulder Hill Pass, Oswego, IL 60543. Private inurnment will take place at a future date. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to St. Anne Catholic Church.
