Mary Christine "Chris" Hartman, age 79, of Oswego, IL, peacefully passed away on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Symphony of Orchard Valley in Aurora, IL. She was born August 13, 1941 at home in Centralia, IL, the daughter of the late Chris and Letha (Shaw) Shook. Prior to her retirement, she worked at Western Electric in Aurora, IL in the cafeteria as a cahier and secretary. She also worked at Bell Labs in Naperville, IL as a secretary and then as a manager in food services. She was an avid sports fan cheering on the Chicago Bulls, Blackhawks and Cubs. She is survived by her husband of 61 years Dale C. Hartman, Jr., her daughter Cheryl (Richard) Heissler, son Gregory Hartman; granddaughter Shannon (Matt) Mellin and their children: Kayleigh, Dakota, and Richard; granddaughter Lauren (Liberto) Cascone and her daughters: Makayla and Sadie, step-daughter Lilly and their children: Paola and Giovanni; Chris's brother, Darrell Shook, and his sons: Steven and Doug; Chris's sister Patricia (Roger) Thomas, her daughter, Stacy Shook Radake, and their son Christopher (Brook) Thomas: and Chris's sister Karen Roetemeyer. She was preceded in death by a brother-in-law Rodney Roetemeyer and nephew David Shook. Visitation will be on Monday, April 12, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a funeral service at 6:00 PM at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 S. Douglas Road, Oswego, IL 60543.
