Mark A Chapas, Jr., died suddenly on Friday, October 22, 2021, in Oswego Twp., IL. He was born September 4, 2003, in Hinsdale, IL. Mark was a member of the Oswego East High School class as well as the football team, (where he was the captain of the defensive squad), wrestling, Track/field, German Club, and the Lambs among Wolves. He had signed up to join the USMC after high school and is designated to be in poolee status. Mark is survived by his parents Angela (Balice) and Mark Chapas, Sr., two brothers Alexander Chapas, Anthony Balice, two nephews Levi Balice, "Little Joe" Balice, maternal grandparents Sylvia (Hamman) and Joseph Balice, paternal grandmother Kathleen Chapas, also several aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Richard Chapas. Visitation will take place on Friday, October 29, 2021, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 Douglas Road, Oswego, IL, 60543. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, 701 S Eola Rd, Aurora, IL 60504.
