MARK R. BOWEN August 13, 1962 - February 4, 2020 Mark Raymond Bowen, 57, of Sheridan passed Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at his home. Mark was born August 13, 1962 in Sandwich to Lyell & Beverly (Kaufman) Bowen. Mark was a 1980 graduate of Serena High School where he had been the treasurer of the F.F.A. and farmed all his life in Mission Twp. He was joined in marriage to Carol Borneman April 19, 1998 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Yorkville. Mark had also worked at the Fox River Resort, the Wilkening Woodworking Co. in Sandwich and enjoyed dirt bikes, motorcycles, snowmobiling and water skiing. Mark & Carol loved thier many trips to Branson and especially the fishing trips to Minnesota. Mark is survived by his wife Carol; his parents, Lyell & Beverly of Sheridan; his daughter, Jessica Bowen of Earlville; his son, Mark D. (Sara) Bowen of Sheridan; three step children, Aaron (Alexis) Hartnett of Thief River Falls, MN, Amy (Shane) Bayston of Chenoa, Autumn (Donnie Roby) Hartnett of Sheridan; eight grandchildren, Averie Bowen, Rhett Bowen, Logan Bowen, Arya Hartnett, Asa Hartnett, Megan Bayston, Mason Bayston, Marshall Roby and his brother, Jim (Eileen) Bowen of Sheridan. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mark J. & Dorothy A. (Rohrer) Bowen and his maternal grandparents, Raymond J. & Helen H. (Klass) Kaufman. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. Sunday, February 9th with a memorial service at 5:00 p.m. at the Gabel-Dunn Funeral Home Ltd. in Sheridan.
