Marilyn Y. Thompson, age 91, of Oswego, IL, peacefully passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at Symphony of Orchard Valley in Aurora, IL. She was born June 14, 1928 in Lucas County, IA, the daughter of the late John L. and Mabel A. nee Walmer Ryan. Prior to her retirement, Marilyn worked part-time for the Ledger newspaper. She was a member of Oswego Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her children Cindy (Neal) Ament of Oswego, IL, Teresa (William) Baumann of Oswego, IL, Tommy (Leah) Thompson of Oswego, IL, grandchildren Melanie (Marcus) Smith of Oswego, IL, Julie Thompson of Oswego, IL, Thomas Thompson (Almela) of Joliet, IL, Wesley Ament ( Kristen) of Naperville, IL, Abby Ament (Chris) of Montgomery, IL, Kelly (Ondre) Schoensee of Plano, IL, Carl Baumann (Laura) of Chicago, IL, great-grandchildren Luca and Liam Schoensee of Plano, IL, Tobias of Joliet, IL, Greta of Montgomery, IL, and Emilia of Naperville, IL, sister Janet (Duane) Grismore of Shawnee, KS. She was preceded in death by husband Carl E. Thompson, and sisters Judy Ussery and Marlene Pittman. Services will be private at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 S.
