Marilyn Marie Meyers, 92, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, November 26, 2022.

Marilyn was born on April 23, 1930, in Chicago to George and Marie Boivin.

She attended St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Grammar School and graduated high school from Thornton Township. After high school she worked as a bookkeeper for a local furniture store. She met her husband, Fred Meyers, at the age of 13 and married on October 6, 1951. Together they lovingly raised 5 children in Wheeling and Des Plaines, IL. Marilyn was an Army wife and stay at-home mother. After raising her children, Marilyn went back to work at Wheels Inc. in Des Plaines where she worked for 15 years before retiring. Retirement took Marilyn and Fred to Leesburg, FL where they resided for 18 years before returning to IL in 2014.

Marilyn is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Fred Meyers, her parents, George and Marie Boivin, her brother Ed Boivin (Peggy).

She is survived by her 5 children: Mike, Ken (Laura), Dan (Marie), Fred (Carol), Linda DeVelasco, her 14 grandchildren: Tracie Bechtel (Chris), Scott (Leigh), Courtney Wright (James), Matt (Erin), Emily Kozlow (Jake), Danny (Kseniya), Christopher, Cristi Arnold (Alex), Stephanie Zielinski (Dylan), Madison DeVelasco, Cameron DeVelasco, Maria Freitag (Stephen), Lisa Phillips (Mitch), Joanna Nardo (Tom), 21 great-grandchildren and her sister Imogene Blue.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Sunday, January 29, 2023, from 2:00 p.m.to 6:00 pm at Dunn Funeral Home with Crematory 1801 S. Douglas Road, Oswego, IL 60543.

Family and friends will meet directly at St. Anne's Catholic Church: 551 Boulder Hill Pass, Oswego, IL 60543, Monday, January 30, 2023, where a Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M.

The inurnment will be held privately at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood IL.
