Maricela Orozco of Naperville, IL, passed away at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, IL, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 29, 1975, in Laredo, TX.

Maricela is survived by her devout and beloved children: Jazmine Yvette Rocha, Alicia Nicole Rocha, Jonathan Sebastian Piceno, and Ethan Alessandro Piceno; her cherished sister, Maria Orozco; and her adored nieces and nephews, Edgar Silva, Cynthia Silva, and Christian Piceno. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ana Maria Orozco; and her grandparents, Everardo Orozco Reyes and Serafina Maria Reyes Aguilera.

Maricela was a woman of deep faith, strong family ties, and a joyful sense of humor. She was loved by all who knew her and will forever leave a lasting impact on the hearts and souls she touched. Known for her warm smile, infectious laugh, and delicious baked treats, Maricela's adventurous spirit inspired those around her to strive for kindness and positive change in both their personal lives and the community.

To honor Maricela's final wishes, a Mass of Catholic Burial will be held in her honor on Friday, January 24, at 10:00 AM at St. Rita of Cascia Parish, 750 Old Indian Trail, Aurora, IL.

Interment will follow at Risen Lord Cemetery at 1501 Simons Rd, Oswego, IL.

Rest peacefully, Mari. You will be deeply missed and eternally loved.
