Malcolm Dale Maybach, 91, of Oswego, IL passed away on November 28, 2021.
He was born on July 14, 1930 to Henry and Helen Maybach in Clarence, NY.
Malcolm earned his Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Buffalo and worked for Westinghouse until his retirement in 1992. Malcolm served his country honorably in the United States Army.
Malcolm married Marilynn Muchow on August 22, 1953, and they shared 68 years of marriage. When not with his beloved family, he was an avid gardener, woodworker and fisherman. He was especially proud of his roses and tomatoes.
Malcolm is survived by his beloved wife, Marilynn, and their three children: Jacqueline Murphy (Richard), William (Kimberly) and Wendy Finger (Laurence). Also surviving are his grandchildren, Patrick Murphy (Ashley), Lauren Wells (Timothy), Megan Kinkopf (Michael), William Finger (Leslie), Andrew, Emily and Eric Maybach. He is also survived by his great grandchildren, Ethan and Emily Wells, Grayson and Elsie Murphy, and Scott Kinkopf. Malcolm was also the "big brother" of Wesley Maybach.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Helen, and his son in law, Richard Murphy.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 3, 2021 from 3:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. at Dunn Family Funeral Home with Crematory, 1801 South Douglas Rd, Oswego, IL 60543.
Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. at Wheatland Salem United Methodist Church at 1852 95th Street, Naperville, IL 60564.
