Lynn Joy (Law) Detzler, age 58, of Oswego, IL passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 9, 2025 at her home. She was born December 23, 1966 in Aurora, IL, the daughter of Ronnie and Lois (Evans-Law) Simon.

Lynn was known for her adventurous spirit and her zest for life. She found immense joy in her many hobbies, including spending time at the pool, exploring the beauty of crystals, enjoying movies, and indulging in the delights offered by food trucks.

Lynn was united in marriage to her devoted husband, Donald Detzler, on November 23, 1985. Together, they created a warm and loving home, filled with laughter and cherished memories. Lynn was the proud mother of one daughter, Gracie, who married Jacob Heinz. Lynn's heart expanded with joy when she became a grandmother to Gunnar and Gwendolyn Heinz, who brought her immeasurable happiness.

She is also survived by her brother, Scott Simon, and his wife, Evelyn, who, along with her family, will carry forward her legacy of love and kindness.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her step-father Richard Law and sister Lori Shryock.
