Ricky Lowy, 65 years, of Montgomery, IL died Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Countryside Rehabilitation and Care Center in Aurora, IL. He was born October 31, 1948 in McAllen, TX. Ricky was a member of St Anne Catholic Church in Oswego, IL, he graduated from Senn High School in Chicago, IL and then continued his education at Aurora University where he received both his Bachelor and Master's degrees in Education. He taught for 20+ years in the West Aurora School District prior to his retirement on June 4, 2014. He was very active in the Boy Scouts of America in the Chicagoland area for many years, the Meata Club (a car club group) and in his spare time he loved music playing with the Blues on the Fox playing his harmonica. He was a great Chicago sports fan cheering on his favored Bears and Sox. Ricky is survived by his three sons Christopher David Lowy of Montgomery, IL, Brian Michael (Aleghia) Lowy of North Aurora, IL, Michael Steven Lowy of Montgomery, IL, grandchild Kendall Paige Lowy of North Aurora, IL and a brother Ronald Lowy of Oak Park, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2014 from 4:00 PM until a memorial service at 7:30 PM at the DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 S. Douglas Rd., Oswego, IL. Cremation was accorded the wish of the family.
