Lorraine Alma Whitney, age 94 years of Lake Geneva, WI died Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Mercy-Walworth Hosp., in Wisconsin. She was born December 12, 1920 in Thayer, IL, the daughter of the late Walter Yates and Alma Hester (nee Caskey) Oeser, Sr. Lorraine was a cosmatologist, working at Sears on Lake St. in Aurora, J. C. Penney at Fox Valley and also working at Grimm's Drug Store in Boulder Hill for many years. She is survived by her daughter Janice (James) Zimmerman of Montgomery, IL and her son David Whitney of Lake Geneva, WI, grandchildren Brian Zimmerman, Julie Brucki, Sherri (Scott) Summers, Scott (Michelle), and Stephen (Lynette) Flatt, Karen, and Greg (Valerie) Whitney, Jennifer Bivens, and Jeremey Billos, Great Grandchildren Katlyn Brucki, Trey and Travis Summers, Kendall and Ethan Whitney, Ryan, and Kegan Flatt, Sarah, Luke, Savannah and Samantha, and William Bivens, and a great-great grandson Zechariah Gilbert Summers. Lorraine is also survived by her daughter- in-law Ginger Whitney, two sons-in-law Dan Flatt and George Billos and a special friend of the family Gene Dahlberg. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, David Whitney, Sr. and her children Gerald Whitney, Judith Flatt and Debra Whitney, sisters Dolores Zelensek, Shirley Oeser, brothers Richard, William and Wally Oeser. Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2015, 11:00 a.m. at Lincoln Memorial Park, Aurora, IL with Rev. Mike Smith officiating.
