Lori Jean Shryock, of Montgomery, IL passed away on January 9, 2025, at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, IL. Lori was born in Aurora, IL on March 23, 1959, the daughter of Ronald and Lois (Evans) Simon.

Lori grew up in Oswego, Illinois, and attended both Oswego High School and East Aurora High School. She was a woman of remarkable talents and self-taught skills. Lori was an accomplished seamstress, oil painter, basket weaver, gardener, caner, and shopper. Her creativity and resourcefulness were evident in everything she pursued. She especially enjoyed visiting resale shops, always on the lookout for a great find.

Lori is survived by her Husband, Herman "Rocky" Shryock; Daughter Jennifer (Kevin) Clancy; Step-son's Kelly Shryock and Bruce (Charlotte) Shryock. And many grandchildren; her Brother Scott (Evelyn) Simon; Sister Lynn (Don) Detzler; Brother-In-Law John Shryock and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Ronald Simon; Step-father, Richard Law. Step-daughter, Vicki Jo Shryock.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Lori's honor on May 30, 2025, at the Lake Holiday Lodge located at 283 Easy Street in Somonauk, Illinois from 2-7 p.m. Cremation arrangements are under the personal care and direction of the DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY.
