Lois B. Jenkins, 74, of Chicago, IL transitioned on Monday August 26, 2024, at AccentCare Hospice in Naperville, IL.

She was born on September 8, 1949, in Mound Bayou, MS, the daughter of the late Leo White and Gurtine Burns Howard.

She was baptized at Jerusalem M. B. Church in Mound Bayou, MS. She was employed at Seaway National Bank in Chicago, IL as a VP of the Corporate Trust Dept. She was a member of the Alpha Gamma Pi Sorority.

She is survived by two sons Elvi (Tamara) Jenkins, Levois Jenkins, four grandchildren Terrence (Mary) Jenkins, Trevonne Jenkins (twins), Nylah Jenkins, Karis Jenkins, three great grandchildren Jordan Jenkins, Julian Jenkins, Luna Jenkins, five sisters Hunter Jean Burns, Vivilyn Min, Tyrrie Young, Etoya (Larry) Rochelle, Netwaski (Ronnie) Rochell, five brothers Frederic (Tomica) Howard, Rothley (Denise) Howard, Kent Howard, Dwayne Howard, Myriffeah (Dora) Howard, also many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death also by her husband Levi Jenkins, Jr.

There will be no visitation, and a private family graveside service will take place at Lincoln Cemetery in Blue Island, IL.
