Dean also loved his time in Scouting. He was a Boy Scout Leader, Troop Treasurer, and he enjoyed watching three of his children and two of his grandchildren become Eagle Scouts. For over 20 years, one of Dean's favorite family traditions was taking the family to Galena, IL, between Christmas and New Years. Dean was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Oswego, IL. He attended Mass with his loving wife, Ann, every week. He volunteered his time by preparing meals for Hesed House.

Dean will be remembered for being a hard worker, a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather.
