IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Linda Marie
Staffeldt
August 6, 1959 – December 1, 2025
Linda Marie Staffeldt
With immense sadness and steadfast faith in God's promises, we announce the sudden passing of Linda Marie Staffeldt, the heart and matriarch of our family. She was welcomed into God's loving arms on Monday, December 1, 2025, at the age of 66.
Linda was born on August 6, 1959, in Bangor, Maine, to Herbert C. and Janice M. (Hinds) Baker. She spent her early years in Maine before making her home in Oswego, Illinois, where she raised her family and built lifelong friendships. In 2015, she retired to the family farm in Princeton, Wisconsin.
Above all else, Linda was a devoted wife, nurturing mother, proud Nana, and beloved sister. She shared 43 years of marriage with her husband, Tim O. Staffeldt, whom she married at Oswego Presbyterian Church in 1982. She was a loving mother to her sons, Timothy J. and Sean W., and her family was always at the center of her life. Together, they cherished all things football, family dinners, boating on Green Lake, vacations to Old Orchard Beach, and countless moments filled with laughter.
For more than 20 years, Linda proudly served as a lunch lady at Oswego High School, where she was known for her dedication, warmth, and genuine care for students and staff alike.
Linda found joy in life's simple pleasures—tending her gardens, crafting, exploring antique shops, bird watching, and listening to music. She especially loved the changing seasons, from fall football games and the magic of Christmas to spring blooms and summer days at the beach enjoying the sun, sand, and waves. Her nurturing, patient, and kind spirit left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Timothy J. Staffeldt; her parents, Herbert C. and Janice M. (Hinds) Baker; and her parents-in-law, Delbert W. and Myrtle A. (Orr) Staffeldt.
Linda is survived by her husband, Tim O. Staffeldt of Princeton, Wisconsin; her son, Sean W. Staffeldt, and his wife, Amy, of Oswego, Illinois; her grandchildren, Payton J., Kaylin N., Leah R., and Caleb W. Staffeldt; her brother, William K. Baker, and his wife, Susan, of Bangor, Maine; her sister, Karen L. Brawner of Oswego, Illinois; several nieces and nephews; extended family members; and many dear friends.
The family takes comfort in their faith and in the promise of eternal life through Christ, trusting that Linda is at peace in His presence: "Then the dust will return to the earth as it was, and the spirit will return to God who gave it." – Ecclesiastes 12:7
