Leonard T. Fanaro, age 85, of Oswego, IL, died Monday, March 10, 2015 at the Hines VA Hospital in Hines, IL. He was born October 5, 1929, the son of the late Leonard and Lena nee Cirrito Fanaro. Leonard proudly served his country in the US Army during World War II. He is survived by his children Leonard Fanaro, Jr of Indiana, Sherry (Lynn) Armstrong of Montgomery, IL, Richard (Kim) Fanaro of Yorkville, IL, John Paul Fannaro of Indiana, 16 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Virginia Fanaro (whom he married on June 16, 1950), daughters Carol (John) Raimondo and Denise Fanaro, great-granddaughter Alexandra Owens and a great-grandson Adrian Owens. Private services with military honors will be held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL at a future date.
