Lawrence K. "Larry" Nickels, 76, of North Aurora passed away on June 7, 2016 at Asbury Gardens Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in North Aurora. He was born on May 3, 1940 to the late Lawrence L. and Alverta Fuss Nickels. Larry graduated from Marmion High School and Northern Illinois University earning a Bachelor's Degree in biology. He then worked for British Petroleum (BP) for many years as a lab analyst where he later retired from. He is survived by his loving wife Loretta "Lori" Nickels; children Lawrence J. (Amber) Nickels of Westerville, OH, Laurie L. DesJardine of North Aurora, and Kenneth J. (Laurie) Nickels of Davenport, IA; grandsons Zachary and Harrison Nickels of Westerville, OH; and one brother John (Leslie) Nickels of Baton Rouge, LA.
