IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Larry W.
Zimmerer
January 17, 1955 – September 26, 2024
Larry Zimmerer, a loving husband for 46 years, a dad for 43 years, a father-in-law for 5 years, and a grandfather for almost 3 years, passed away in 2024 on Thursday, September 26th.
Professionally, Larry was a long-time car enthusiast. He began his career with Ford Motor Company, spent a stint with Hyundai in Tennessee, and then dedicated 25 years to Toyota Motor Sales USA. His career also included consulting for hundreds of dealers, where he earned widespread respect and admiration for his dedication and professionalism.
Throughout his career, Larry moved his family five times, adapting to new places, people, social norms, and cultural challenges. Despite these changes, he remained true to the core values instilled in him by his parents, in-laws, Catholic schools, and others, holding on to his integrity and faith.
In addition to his career, Larry had a deep passion for both gardening and golf. He found immense joy in cultivating his garden and spent many peaceful days on the golf course.
Larry is survived by his loving wife, Janet Munson Zimmerer, and their three children: Robert, Andrew, and Douglas. Douglas's wife, Lena, and their son, Adam—Larry's cherished grandson—brought him immense joy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerome G. Zimmerer Sr. and Louise L. (Wieder) Zimmerer. Larry is also survived by his brother, Jerry Zimmerer, his wife, Regina, and several nieces and nephews.
His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
