Janene A. Kluckhohn, 67 of Verona, Illinois passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by family on September 21, 2014. After a lifetime of health issues and suffering, God called her home to rest with him, fully restored and more beautiful than ever. Janene was preceded in death by her daughter, Denise Jacobucci, her parents, Nick and Emma (Oros) Oros (Aurora), her in-laws, Francis and Ruth (Howland) Kluckhohn (Oswego), and brother-in-law, David Kluckhohn (Oswego). She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Bob Kluckhohn, daughter and son-in-law, Dawn (Jacobucci) and Tony Pulgine (Aurora), her grandchildren, Monika (Breyne) Wagner (Oswego), and Nick and Emma Pulgine. Janene is also survived by two siblings Jack Oros (Florida), and Jacquelin (Rich) Palombo (South Carolina), as well as numerous nieces and nephews including Hillary and Brian Kluckhohn (Verona) who are like grandchildren to her. Other important people in Janene's life are her dearest friend, Lou McMillen (Verona), and sister-in-law, Jeannine (David Kluckhohn) Mitchell (Verona). After her friends and family, Janene's lifelong passion was the restaurant business. Over the years she owned and operated numerous restaurants in the Fox Valley area, most notably Janene's Bakery in Oswego, IL, and the Pigeon Hill Diner in Aurora. Her warmth and engaging personality coupled with her home style food and baked goods built a local following of regular customers to her restaurants.
